What is 'TYPE'?

'TYPE' refers to company status - manufacturer, regional office, dealer, etc. to help users better understand the information. Only manufacturers can be cross-listed under categories. It would make the product listings too long if dealers, regional offices, etc. were also listed. The product listings are designed to help visitors find who produces what. The company locator will then help them find the various offices, dealers, etc. if they are listed.

Optional details. Brand names are FREE and will increase visitor numbers.

Brand names can be an important part of every company's listings in CMLDIR Guides. They are free - even with unpaid listings. PREMIUM listing get priority placement in category listing. There is no restriction on the number (provided the system is not abused by including such details as model numbers) They are particularly beneficial to dealers when a user searches for a brand name and country. The help users find a company more easily when a brand name is different to the company name or is a brand name that has been taken over. Companies can only get priority listing by upgrading and priorities are on a first come basis.
